Next to the theatre are the conspicious Roman thermae with remaining walls up to a height of 11 m. It replaced a pre-existing sanctuary of the 2nd century BC, dedicated to the Egyptian deity Sarapis. During the reign of emperor Hadrian (117-136 AD) a complex of bath therapy was installed in this area under the auspices of Asklepios, and in the Roman imperial times (2nd-3rd century AD) the sanctuary was changed into Thermes, a public bath complex.
